    HI
This item was left to my husband by a dear friend of his a few years ago. We have always wondered what it actually is? its obviously a bowl of some sort but would love to know some more about it. Ive searched the internet for anything similar but not sure im describing it correctly. I did try jardiniere rather than bowl on the description but cant find anything like this at all. If anyone can point me in the right direction I would much appreciate it. I would love to be able to give my husband some info on this piece.
    Many thanks

      Welcome to CW!
Lovely bowl….I’d love to see the rest of it; lots of other members probably are thinking the same thing.
You can show 4 views so if you will edit your post show too, bottom and sides you will be more likely to find answers.

Also, here’s the easy fix for making your pictures be right-side up:
Edit your picture by changing their margins a tad or enlarging the image…then, edit yourCW post to remove the sideways picture and replace it with your newly edited version….. that is all it takes to fix the problem!

I’ll be watching for those other views!

Be sure to measure it and let everyone know the dimensions.
Could this be a fancy inkwell? If it’s small enough.

      Hi, hopgarden. :-)

Interesting item. You're allowed up to four pictures per post, so perhaps you could add some more images.

Is it a single piece of glass or multiples?

Is the bottom smooth, or does it have a pontil?

I suppose it could be some kind of decorative bowl, but right now, it makes me think of a ceiling light fixture.

From what I can see, and yes more photos of the whole bowl would be helpful, it looks like it might be made by Harrach..

Hi and thank you everyone for your comments so far, I have been trying to upload some more pictures of the item but It keeps failing, I think its my internet, so so slow, so for now I will answer some of your queries.
The dimensions are approx 30cm side to side, approx 14cm high
The bottom is smooth and flat with no holes etc.
      This is a singular item
I will keep trying to upload the other pictures and hopefully we can gather some further info.
      Many thanks

I'm thinking Harrach as well. It's a really interesting & unusual piece, & would love to see a few more images from different angles if possible...

if you shot his with a camera in raw ...that would really make it slow and not let it load here ..change it to a j peg if you know how or can if this is the problem ....good luck.. if not change the size of your pixels of your picture to a smaller setting later
