    I was very happy to have found these two Satsuma vases today at one of my favorite local thrift shops. They are about 7 inches high. One side has Geishas and the other has Buddhist monks or Bodhisatvas. The mark is illegible on the other vase, and only somewhat legible on the one i posted the pic of.

      it probably reads satsuma yaki or can i get a strawberry milkshake with two straws near Mount Fuyi at happy hour

      i haven,t put much effort in this is known so i might be off
      a double vase face not Bodhisatvas but geisha,s , wait for an more knowledge person, i think it still remains mejji something like 1860-1880, nice pastel

      apostata - the men w/ the halos - wouldn't they be considered Bodhissatvas?

      did i miss something , do you mean it is signed kinkozan ? , are my eyes that bad ?

      ok but when it is kinkozan why is the signing generic

      i only don,t understand it , well that,s happens a lot of times , fair and square
