Got this off my favorite local Antique Dealer the other day. It's quite small just 60mm high and80mm wide. Has Glass Plant 1990 on the bottom.
I added a picky of the Pukeko in the garden they are interesting to watch especially at the moment as they have little ones that are just balls of fluff with big long legs sticking out. Hard to get a picky of these as the parents are very protective and the babies themselves disappear before I can get close. For an idea of size you can see a sparrow there as well, they have to be careful as some of the Pukes will have them for supper if they get too close. They can be a bit of a trial as they snip off all the flowers including the Orchids in my garden!
Beautiful glass and birds….Living far far from NZ, Ive never seen those birds. Fascinating!
Those birds are quite beautiful. A friend went to an island to catch them in natural habitat.
These ratbags are only about 200M from their natural habitat......a swamp 200M away from our house! :)
If you think you are going cross eyed the Puke at the front does have a broken leg! She is a favourite as the others will pick on her a bit, if we see her we throw out a bit of bird seed especially for her. We call her Wonky!
