I went for a ride on the scooter to Cambridge yesterday. Not a good place for a bargain but I like looking. In one shop I was about to leave when I spotted the ball on this vase, it had a big flower in it that covered the rest. It appeared to be in excellent condition and the price was reasonable so it came home. The top piece of the vase is oval. When I shine my UV torch on it the clear base glows green and the some of the upper parts a bright orange although this isn't the more brighter coloured parts of the glass? 148mm high. Peggy showed a vase the same 6 years ago.

The three ball foot design is classic Welz, weird & wonderful at its best.
This is a great find, especially at a good price!
I'm glad I read what you wrote, BHIFOS, as your images seemed to show a round rim. I was going to remark on that as this is the only example, shape and decor I've ever seen at this intermediate height.
