In 1993, Chanel changed their dating system again, and it’s largely the system used today, with a few minor variations. From this date, Chanel introduced two annual collections to coincide with the couture catwalk shows, one in Spring, and the other in Autumn. As well as designating the Season, the year was added and denoted by the final two digits. For example, 97 indicates 1997. The copyright and registration marks return around the 'CHANEL,' as well as 'MADE IN FRANCE' along the bottom. On either side of the CC logo is a two digit date and the one letter Season (P for Spring/Printemps, A for Autumn/Automne). The plaque is usually attached directly to the item of jewellery, or appears in the form of an oval hangtag. Mine was purchased at a local consignment shop with the original hang chain.
Still in good shape for 25 years with no chips or cracks to the piece.
Thanks for looking.
Follow-up: Just found one on a website being offered from Japan but it’s Gold, Red / Gold-tone.
