Thank you so much Penny I knew you would know your knowledge is amazing I know some about American pottery not much about glass but sure like it I actually got this at an estate sale a friend has an estate business I call them yard sales got it for 50 bucks just seemed like a good piece do you think it is worth that much or are we not suppose to talk value thanks again BTW glad you have not changed your picture I love it
I think yours is a beautiful shape and has to do better than the same in a different form, I really not great on what ‘stuff’ is worth..but it has to be one plus one = two (;-) hun-dred.. up me thinks..if you can de-code that..I have searched for similar on the www but can’t find one with this lovely warm colouring and shape..me thinks ya dun good..
Me thinks you one smart cookie Inky thanks again for you help I can see the Doulton now it probably porcelain I was way off calling it glass
, this enhanced porcelain they mixed up the kaolin with a percentage of grind animal bones , this is bone china , that,s not bad , it is the better china for English standards ,
inky is right kudos to Inky, it got the gold lines also, can,t talk money here , but down the line retail,( it won,t make rich) but its more then 50 dollars
so you did well , and inky did some excellent work ,congrats Waki
Thank you apostata the knowledge of people on this site is amazing never heard of using animal bones in porcelain the gold lines almost feel like a wire and I agree Inky is pretty special
