I have been trying to identify this Royal Worcester pattern off and on for years. I have 10 of these heavily guilt plates in 8 different color schemes. "X" Mark indicates 1886. Theo Starr was the retailer in New York. Maybe a special order? I would love to hear from anyone with any info. Thanks in advance.

charliefishhead, This looks like the same pattern, but unfortunately, no pattern name is given:

Here are some dessert plates (still no pattern name):

      *snip*

Set of Six Royal Worcester Porcelain Dessert Plates, fourth quarter 19th century, having Imperial Yellow grounds richly patterned with delicate blackout-lined floral decoration, produced for Theodore B. Starr, New York, and so backstamped in addition to the lavender underglaze transfer-printed Worcester "wheel" mark, dia. 9".

keramikos, you are amazing. I can't believe you found these pattern matches so quickly. Since they all seem to be retailed by Theo Starr I suppose they could have been an exclusive pattern. This info also confirms date of production. My plates are so pristine I thought they might be fake. Thank you so much for your efforts they are truly appreciated. I will keep looking for the pattern name and have a little more direction now.

      charliefishhead, You're welcome. :-)

I suspect the reason I found those examples so quickly is just the ever-changing, ever-growing nature of the Internet.

You can perform a search one day, and find bupkes.

Performing the same search a day, or a month, or a year later can produce results, just because in the interim somebody inherited something they didn't have room for, and decided to sell it (or some similar scenario).
