Definitely a cat as sometimes it is hard to tell in glass, nicely formed and very pretty in pink !~
He looks pretty stern!
Awesome!
Cute cat and beautiful color!!
Beautiful lady like cat! Is she a Persian? She’s so feminine and soft featured, reminds me of Duchess from the Aristocats. Also, you say lavender but try as I might, I can only see her in a beautiful soft rosy shade! :D
Love the face!
Thanks to you all for the love

Thank you Phil for your wonderful comment, yes in art glass many times animals are made in weird shapes but this one is unmistakably a cat. A pinkish cast it does have in my pix but it's a color changing type glass so it always looks different
Lol Kevin stern is a good word, also maybe aloof & unapproachable...not being an indoor cat owner but a caretaker for neighborhood outdoor cats at one time, I can attest that the cat is an animal of many moods; my best friend's indoor cat is untrusting of visitors and makes herself scarce when we stop by, yet to my friend she is a real "lap cat." As for my outdoor brood, they were not shy about coming close at feeding time, and I bonded with one male tuxedo beauty who was totally lovable & had the loudest vibrating purr like a tiger's growl, he would jump up on my lounge chair to keep me company while I was sunbathing. Thanks for your super insightful comment :)
Bruce thank you for your great compliment, this cat was a pretty awesome find for me, I love its air of mystery and watchfulness
Thanks so much Scott for your fabulous praise as always, this color is very appealing and also challenging to photograph - notice the ears & foot have blue tinges, and in the last pic it's a true lavender. If I use low lighting it's a light blue-violet, but you need some light to make out the careful sculpting. Always love to add Murano animals to my collection, another one coming soon
Lauren thank you for your terrific compliments and I can certainly see Persian in her exotic face (though that cat is a bit furrier), and I also thought it has Egyptian Sphinx-like features, very statuesque and proud looking. You are right it is a very soft pastel color and I do see the pink hue in all but the last photo which is more lavender blue
Thank you vintagelamp for your superb comment about its face, the expression is almost lifelike and very hard to read as with a real cat. Unlike dogs who you can usually tell what they are feeling (i.e.,tails wagging and tongue out when they're happy), I find cats to be inscrutable most of the time, very self-reliant and also very beautiful. More of both dogs and cats to come for my CW animal lovers!
With sincere thanks all for the kitty love
