      lbullock, Interesting. :-)

I couldn't find any references for G. C. Furman, but then I spied "Andrew Conselyea Map" on your map, and that led me to all kinds of interesting tidbits:

Unless I'm completely disoriented, your map seems actually to cover part of Brooklyn:

Here's a very similar map (could even be the same one):

This image could have imperfections as it’s either historical or reportage.

      Hi again, lbullock. :-)

I noticed that Alamy dot com allows the use of a tool similar to that at Replacements dot com, so I decided to download a copy of your map, and let it look for a 'twin.'

Not surprisingly, it came back with a lot of maps. Surprisingly, it didn't come back with the one I linked yesterday, or anything close. I flipped it 180 degrees, and tried again. Nope. >8-0

I think their tool needs more work, because I'm convinced that your map is essentially the same as what I linked yesterday, except that the tinted areas on yours look pink, whereas in the Alamy image I linked yesterday, they look orange-red.

As it turns out, there are numerous copies of that map at Alamy provided by various purveyors, but tinted differently.

Luckily, not only is there one tinted pinkish, it has a more complete description of the original, including a date:

So 1904, when the Williamsburg Bridge was essentially brand new:

FYI, your photo of your copy of the map is upside down. That could have been caused by the CW S&T software which doesn't play well with all photo sources, especially smartphones and tablets.

If you want to 'right' it, just make a small edit. It doesn't have to be much, perhaps make the long sides of the rectangular image a skosh shorter, and then replace the upside down version in your post with the edited copy. That's usually enough to do the trick. :-)
