Shou meaning longevity
probably a child is born or his/her birthday

i got a simple solution, when a bowl is longer than it is it wide,it is an chawan 99 out of 100
from origin this got a special meaning longevity , birthday celebration ( new year )that is long gone there is almost no association any more
on the contrary it is nowadays more used as a type of generic marking
this is not studio ware , it is not special design , and studio ware would be signed or embossed marked by artist or studio
it could be anything, bizen ware, kyo jaki hibiki an etc in the best scenario probably
personally i think this is stuff which tour operators organize for tourist matcha pseudo ceremonies , were you taste different macha,s like fake usucha and the burn a hole in your stomach koichi tea
