This is a Victorian painted glass lamp/light shade. It is only 6" by 6" so ideal for this style of table lamp. It has a lot of similarities with a larger one I posted earlier. Both are white opaline glass which was then painted cream to create a background colour for the final décor. This one is hexagonal while the larger one is octagonal. In both the shape is delineated by a painted rope design. I can only guess at their origins beyond feeling they are Bohemian. There was at least one Bohemian town where the majority of the adult population were involved in decorating glass.
Oh this is just beauuuutiful!! What a gorgeous shade! I haven’t seen any others like it. What a special piece for your home, Peggy!
Thank you Michelle, and a way to add glass that doesn't overcrowd the shelves!

Overcrowded shelves, me? I see your sense of humour is fine and well so I assume you are too!
