Rare crystal glass and gilded enamel wine goblet in the Secessionist style designed by Carl Georg von Reichenbach for the Benedikt von Poschinger, Oberzwieselau glass works. Four raised, applied etched and gilded medallions surround the goblet stem, while four larger painted enamel medallions and a decorative chain border grace the bowl of the goblet. Very fine condition with no damage or repair.
This goblet is noted in the Passau Glass Museum (#44; Das Bohmische Glas, V.5, pg.39). Carl Georg von Reichenbach worked in Munch and lived from 1872 - 1940.
Beautiful! love the form and restrained decoration . I susspect that it would even enhance the taste of the wine .
I can see an ice-cold vodka martini in that glass !
It rocks!
I'll have a Georg Karl von Reichenbach on the rocks please!
