This is our 1949 Lincoln. It has undergone major transformations over the years. My father bought this car in 1983 as an all original car with 55k miles on it. It has been a work in progress since day one that he shared with me until his death in May of this year. It sits on a 1984 Olds chasis w/ a 307ci V8, 700r OD trans., It was originaly a coupe the top has been chopped 3' in front & 5 in the rear and sports a Carlson padded removeable top now. The Grill is a '47 olds , side chrome is 53 Buick , the hubcaps are Dodge Lancer, every panel on this car has been altered in some shape or form, the hood has 250 louvers in it, and has been lengthend 2' in the front, the headlights tailights & earls have been frenched. the interior is white leather w/ red buttons and piping. It has a Sony CD W/ amps 2 outward facing 10"subs along with blue neons from stem to stern inside & out. The paint is House of color Candy Apple Red. It has 14 coats on it. 4 coats gold, 6 coats Transparent Red, 4 coats clear. The car has remote start, remote door locks, pwr windows A/C, disc brakes and is DRIVEN>>>>NEVER TRAILERED !!! It has very few rock nics and has about 20k miles put on it since 1998.

Unfortuantley....this car along with 7 other collector cars that I owned along with a vast amount of collectibles, 2 Motorcycles, 2 travel trailers from the 60's all the tools I owned all burned in a garage fire on June 8, 2012. The fire absoulutly destroyed everything...the heat was so intense it did over $20,000 in damages to my house over 75 feet away. I will post pictures on my page of the fire damage. 1 of 2 things started the fire, either 1 of the motorcycles shorted out, or a battery tender hooked to the motorcycle shorted out. The fire marshal could narrow it down to the starting point but not the exact ignition.
I have posted pics of this car after my Garage Fire..........destroyed it.
They used to call these cars lead sleds. Cool ride !
What a beauty! I've restored several cars ground up & this is monumental! Over the top beautiful!
Love t. I shared your photos with a friend who is the President of a local car club. thanks
