    I bought this in France. Not sure it is genuine. Obviously old and looks hand painted with crazing. Thoughts anyone!

      i don,t know much about this

      but this is likely an Glykophilousa icon , because people mix it up with Eleousa, explanation

      distinction between the Eleousa, where the child's cheek touches the mother's, and his arms (at least one of them) are wrapped around her neck or shoulders, and the Glykophilousa where one hand of the child caresses his mother's chin.

      it means in Greek sweet kissing , this is Cretan style

      text right is something like = the mother of God
      text left is i think Jesus Christ 16 century

      quality is let,s say cute

      age is not that old, maybe early 20century ( i am guessing)
