Sixth plate ruby ambrotype of a pit bull. Dates from the early 1860s.

The pit bull sits proudly on top of an era trunk. It is unusual to find this early of a pit bull image.

My image and my photos of it-- not for distribution/ copies in any manner.

Somebody really loved their doggy to have it photographed back during the infancy of photography when people scarcely had themselves photographed.
