Here's some more detail on another of my recent op shop finds.
This caught my eye immediately - I've handled a fair bit of Art Deco Czech glass over the last 30 years or so, but have never managed to find an example of this type of spatter glass with a satin finish. It features a "bottom up" spatter of cobalt blue that gives way to a light blue spatter on a clear ground.
It measures just over 21 cm tall, 7 cm across the top rim, & 6 cm across the bottom.
Czech origin, 1920s - 1930s era, excellent condition for its age.
There appears to be the remains of a marking in silver on the base. Most of the Tango era Czech glass I've found locally is unmarked (except for two pieces). However, I'm far from certain what I've noticed here is actually a mark at all.
