Hi everyone!!
Another of my still banks is this great little cast iron hen. She's from the late 1800's, in really great condition and still retains 95% of her original paint. As with my cast iron whimsical rabbit sitting on an egg still bank, the coin access mechanism on this one (pic #4) was also patented Feb. 2, 1875. This little hen measures 6 1/4" long, 4" wide and 4" tall.
Thanks very much for stopping in for a look!!

Thanks Eileen!!
I love this one as well. The older still banks tend to be the best ones and she’s such a fine example of the excellent workmanship that’s commonly seen from that time period.
