This seems pretty self explanatory. Found this on sale in an airport on my last visit to my home country. Emailed HGC but no response in nearly 6 years ????????????????.

SooleyMac, Too bad about the no response from the HGC, but I've had a similar problem with the Rosenthal Porzellanikon museum. :-(

Here's a HGC medal similar to yours, except that it's described as "bronze," and it doesn't have a H&S hallmark:

      *snip*

Hampstead Golf Club (est. 1893) bronze medal – with embossed figure of a golfer on the obverse and Hampstead Golf Club on the reverse – in original makers Vaughton & Son leather and gilt box. Note: When Golf was banned on Hampstead Heath during Victoria reign “because it was a menace to other users” - a small group of enthusiastic golfers in 1893 decided to create a proper golf course named Hampstead Golf Club and the laying out of its nine holes at that time was no mean feat for a membership which reached 125 within 12 months and has over 500 members today – one of the few golf clubs which didn’t get tempted by developers. Note From The David Easby Estate
