On my way home after the Flea Market, I saw a Sign for a Yard Sale, and decided to Check it out! It was early for it, but the as I walked down the Drive from the Road, a voice said, "come on down We've started already" as I looked past the other side of the fence, I saw boxes of Tools and Hardware, farther back, Camping stuff, then I saw Music Instruments, and Drums, and a few tables of Boxes and Housewares, a Carved Wooden Bowl caught my Eye, it was full of Rocks and things, a little carved Kayak was on top, and some of the rocks looked interesting, so I asked how much for Bowl full of Rocks, and the 30something kid came over and said "this is the part that's not Fun, sifting through the Memories, giving prices of what he had paid years before, but then How About . . and it was about a quarter of what he said for the first thing, for all of it, so I said That sounds Good and I gave an extra $5. had a good talk about the Instruments and Drums, I found a few other things, that I liked, and bought them too! Thanked Him and headed for the Drive, as more people were coming down!
The First Photo is most of what I Found! The Cleaned Carved Wooden Bowl to the left side, and two United States Coin Proof Sets 1987s and 1976s Bi-Centennial Coin Set.
Photo 2, is of the coins that were mixed in with the Rocks, some old US coins, 3 Indianhead Pennies, the top one with a drilled hole and barely readable, then an 1865, and 1906, and from other Countries, below L to R a 1960 20 Centavos Coin, next a 1920 20 Centavos Coin, both from Mexico, next a 1923 G German(Deutsches Reich) Coin 1 Renten Pfennig, and a 1968 10 Cents Coin from Canada, and below three Arizona State 5 Tax Tokens, and under two 1 Tax Tokens, the bottom coin is a 1953(yr28) Japan 10 Yen Bronze Coin with Reeded Edge.
The Stone to the right of the Coins, is a California Big Sur Jade, and is 'Nephrite' Jade, and occurs in an isolated section on the shore of the Big Sur California coastline!
The 3rd and 4th photos have some of the Rocks that I picked out, just below the Jade is, what I believe to be, Nickel, slightly magnetic, but not Iron, and to the left is a 3"long mammal Tooth, but I don't know what from!
The top center of photo 1 is a Carved Stone Lidded Bowl/Jar, to the right is Postage Stamp Holder/Dispenser, made of Arizona Desert Ironwood Root, and right again is a Black Resin Greenman Wall Plaque!
At the Bottom is a Handblown Glass Cockatoo Swizzle Stick, a small Carved Wood Kayak, and an Indian Flint Arrowhead on a round stone(hand hammer?) Thank You! Bill :^D
