Loetz gelbgrun DEK I/439 Jardiniere

I wanted to share a large Loetz jardinere that I recently added to my collection; it is in the color 'Glebgrun' or 'yellow-green' and is DEK I/439. I am lucky to already have a pair of vases in the same color and DEK, so this was an easy piece for me to identify when I first saw it.
This is a large and quite heavy piece, measuring 10" (25.4cm) long by 5-1/2" (14cm) wide; it is marked with the DEK number on the base. The ends of the jardiniere are softly indented, giving it a nice organic feel. One thing that I wanted to add about this piece is that the decorator took some liberties with this piece that I love; in several places where there is a small imperfection in the glass, the decorator added tiny clusters of flowers to cover it up; you can see and example of this in photo two, towards the base. Such a sweet detail!
