Ferdinand the bull

I got onto my mobility scooter today and took a 1/4-mile ride to the organic farm down the road from me.
My wife and I pass by this farm on many of our day trips and there is always Ferdinand watching us as we pass by.
He is usually (as he was today), standing by the fence in his bachelor paddock keeping an eye on his lady friends in the paddock on the other side of the driveway.
Today was different though, today Ferdinand has a lady friend in his paddock, compliments of his owner, the farmer.
He seems very happy with his guest today, but he still likes to keep that wondering eye of his, on his neighboring lady friends.
I don't know if the farmer named him, but I call him Ferdinand because he is such a gentle giant like the Ferdinand of legend.
Well, it looks like Ferdinand and his date would like some time to themselves, so, I'm heading home.
