I just today posted some photos of our neighborhood resident Bull Ferdinand, and I forgot about "Rooster Cogburn" and his flock of females.
They were standing on the side of the road as I passed. He can be ornery, and sometimes has a few angry clucks for me.
This time, he kind of ignored me and tended more to his hens.
He walked them over to the heavily grown field, but he kept me in his sights. after they were in the grass, Rooster Cogburn lost sight of them as they scampered through the high weeds and grass.
He must have thought that I was of lesser importance today, because he turned his attention to the whereabouts of his girls.
You can just see the puzzled look on his face in photo #3 as he searches where they went
