Haven't picked up anything dead in a bit so I picked up this gray fox pelt It wasn't a pelt I recognized so I asked what it was. Gray fox so all good. Just looked it up on the Bay of E and 12 gray fox and 180 red so this is a less common item. I believe this is called a case skin which is basically just the body without the legs. The pelt is 27" long with just a partial tail.
As one who lives in a log cabin I have the old trapper thing going on with a variety of pelts as seen in photo 4. Most are of animals found locally. We have most of the North American animals aside from Porcupine and beavers. Although I do think I have a beaver skull around here someplace.
