I couldn't believe my eyes when i saw this sitting there at one of my favorite second hand stores. The piece is 47 inches wide. The frame is all hand-painted and there is a description of the painting by Robert Blum on the back. Any further info would be very welcome!
I can just see this painting gracing the walls of Augustus Saint Gaudens or Maxfield Parrish, in Cornish where i grew up.
A Phenomenon in itself. Fabulous !!!!
Masaccio, Perugino Perspective and Narrative …. At Gump’s.

Good old Gumps on Post Street. They're still there, but their footprint is smaller.

thank you Kevin, Manikin and keramikos. i found some more information. This is a hand-colored photograph of the mural made in 1900 by Curtis and Cameron of Boston. Very few of these were made and not a lot of info out there, but the quality of their work was spoken very highly of by Augustus Saint Gaudens, etc.
WoWzWoW what a Fine Find
Thank you Vynil!
