Very old bowl. In family for generations. Stamped "Made in Japan". Looks like gold band around bottom. Any info on this?

"Beginning in 1921, U.S. Customs required country names to be in English, and the word “Japan” was used instead of “Nippon.” Items marked “Made in Occupied Japan” were made between February 1947 and April 1952. After that, just the word “Japan” was used again."

as usual Dave did a good job, type of transfer with a sort of luster, probably rubber stamped ( uneven pressure),l i think you have to distinguish pressure marks opposed to rubber stamp marks so it is probably quite late

      cute
