Found this today in an op shop for $1!
This is a really cute miniature vase made from a single layer of ruby red glass with a paneled optic pattern. It measures 10.5 cm tall, 4.5 cm across the top rim, & 4.2 cm across the base.
It features so called "Mary Gregory" style white enamel decoration of a girl. This type of decorated glass, known as Quarkmal in German was produced originally in the Novy Bor region of Bohemia.
I've owned one other example of this glass, another miniature vase with an unusual spatter glass ground, which I sold in 2015.
Never been a massive fan of this style but this one's small, cute, & was a super bargain...so why not?
I think this is probably late 19th century, Bohemian origin.
