This Loetz vase is a very deep red at the rim and fades to pale pink at the base; these colors are on the exterior of the vase, while the interior is quite a thick layer of white opaque glass. This DEK dates to about 1895, and features beautifully enameled birds and blossoms done in a style that was seen on Japanese ceramics. The Japanese influence on European art was very string at this time period. The decor is just beautiful, and I am very happy to have an example of it. The vase is 6" (15.3cm) tall and the bottom of the vase is marked with the DEK number I/275.
So exceptionally beautiful..
