Went to the charity shop as well as receiving some birthday gifts which were all great! Namely, the very colorful bull, he's my favorite thing at the moment and, turns out he's actually a moneybox...a kind of a cash cow if you will! ^^ His name is also Signor Toro ...
I wonder if there are more very colorful cows or other ceramic animals like him, a quick google search hinted he maybe a German porcelain brand? I'd love to find more of them as they seem to be very collectable and interesting!
As for the fabulous Egyptian cats(I had to add them to my growing Egyptian collection!) they were spotted on my most recent trip, and appear to be bookends, according to a label on them, they're made from something called 'reconstituted stone' in England, whatever that is... all I know is that they are VERY heavy!
Cost- €8 (£6.74/$7.95)
Beautiful and fantastic animals Lauren, what great finds! The flowered bull is really lovely, and the keyed box is super to store your favorite things. Exotic and stately Egyptian cat bookends, love their golden necklaces esp the scarab beetles, so cool & great additions to your collection
Thank you so much Jenni and yes, I adore the flowery bull most of all for now!
I love the “cash cow”…..although I’ve felt like one myself every so often. ;^)
I’d love to come across bookends such as those ….perfect for keeping my “Egypt books” on display.
Thank you Watch searcher, and yes, the cash cows a fun play on words and my favourite at the moment but I guess anyone with an interest in Egypt would adore the cats and find them very useful too! :)
