SINGER sewing machine, serial # G0560559. Think it's a model 127, made in 1923. Any help appreciated.

I'm kind of flying blind here, because not only are you providing only one picture, I myself can't even see the "G" prefix. Somebody appears to have used that machine pretty hard.
However: per the serial number tables at the International Sewing Machine Collectors' Society's website, serial number "G0560559" was one of a block of 35,000 consecutive serial numbers ([G]0526401 through [G]0561400) alotted by the Singer central office to one of its factories December 18, 1923.
All were intended to be stamped into the beds of model 127 sewing machine heads, and probably rolled off of the assembly line by the allotment date of the next block of "G" prefix serial numbers intended for model 127 sewing machine heads (March 19, 1924):

Something that I neglected to give you a link for earlier is the Identification Guide for Singer models 27 and 127 at wikipedia. It labels the characteristics of most of Singer's vibrating shuttle sewing machine heads that make them instantly recognizable to vintage sewing machine enthusiasts (e.g., the trapezoidal access door, and the long dual slide plates):
