Now that I am retired I am putting together my version of a Texaco station. 15 hours of painting so far and I have one end and one side done. Plans include bathroom facades as well as Bay doors. These will be built using fence pickets and painted of course. The inside will house a desk and cash register along with oil cans and texaco parts that I am still collecting. I have signs and letters to go on the building once painted. I am still in search of a project gas pump. Backyard TEXACO opening soon!
Here’s how to get your pictures upright. On your device, edit each photo- simply changing the borders a tad usually works.
After you make those changes, edit your post and change the pictures with their newly edited versions. That’s all. :^)
I scored big time today! The newest picture added is going to be my gas pump island canopy. It has tin on top and on both sides and it has lights in it as well. I will clean it and scuff the tin and then paint it Texaco colors. I got it for 30.00 at a local thrift store today. WATCH...You ain't nothing but FANTASTIC! I did what you said on those pictures and it worked!
I just added another picture. It looks like a wood box but in reality i am going to make it into a Texaco oil bottle carrier. The handle will be black and the rest of it red. I will put Texaco letters on each side and they will be black. Decals have been ordered to put on each end. I paid $3.09 for the wood box and $6.00 for the decals. I already have the paint so all in I should have about $10.00 in the whole shabang. Appreciate yall!
cant wait to see your progress, I had fun building mine but sold house and moved so now building another one.
EJW-54.....I have always loved service stations and Texaco in particular. If the rain will stop I hope to be done with paint this week. I got in(I will post pictures later) a vintage atlas radiator hose display complete with hoses. Your picture of your station that you had has been an inspiration. Please post pictures of your station under construction. Appreciate you!
