This is one of the original four Matchbox models, back when they actually fit in a matchbox. Now to clear something up. Sometimes I list a model as MB 3c or 24 d or some number and letter combination. The letter is something added by collectors to signify which version of the model number it is. This one is 4a which means the first Matchbox 4. It is completely unofficial numeration but it seems to work..
I seem to have seen this often but at one digit more than I would like to spend. Now happy days and here it is. As for note on the model the right and left sides are different. The engine section that is. Also it has some painted details on it. As I have mentioned before later models would not have that.
Got a fine haul today despite 106 degree heat. Actually got to 114 at one point but I was luckily in my vehicle.
