Another Model of Yesteryear racing car. This is a Bugatti Type 35 from 1926. I think it is a Type 35c. 50 were made and some wore some notable races.
This is a boattail style car similar to the Auburn. It has some nice details like the brass radiator, wheels, steering wheel gas cap and hand brakes. Plus a nicely detailed red painted dash. All pieces were painted prior to assembly which makes production simpler and cheaper. Earlier models had hand painted details probably done with a mask.
This will be an interesting week as I will be hitting the road to someplace worthy of CW. You will not want to miss that.
Beautiful racing car, I can picture this speeding along the tracks of Europe - back when car racing was super exciting but very dangerous
Great old racer
I wish it was possible to watch old races from before the war but with modern TV coverage. Very little film of full races exists.
Thank you very much Newfld.
Thank you very much elanski. Yes they tended not to save the film from those. Not sure if they even filmed an entire race.
