I think this is coralene, but i don't think i've ever had a piece before. Saatsuma style becaise of the rim design, but it's porcalain and Satsuma is earthenware. Signed on the back. Any info appreciated.

i think the blue is underglaze blue which is also unusual.

It's gorgeous, and I have never seen coralene used like this.

That central design is breathtaking, and so unusual. I had to look closely to realize it's actually a design of sakura blossoms with the pistils seen from side view -- it looks so much like a blown dandelion!

I have no information to give you re: identification, but it's a fantastic piece for sure. And the sparrows and jonquils etc. are so charming. Wow!

i, can,t help i lack the skills well the credits go to H2O and the excellent work of Rhineisfine, because i did,not understand the question , i got different questions ( also anthrposophical)and got more questions than answers

i got an suggestion , the flowers in the periferie got 5 leaves so likely SAKURA

is the inner flower is y an TANPOPO depiction = dandelion
an tanpopo = is an aseraceae ( composite family) and and is an spermatopsida ( seedcarrier)in the spreading fase you petiolate fruit fluff,

the point is the prunes is also an spermatopsida, so is this an botanische technical discussion between petiolate fruit fluff, Tanpopo and the spread of stamens of the
      Rosaceae

suppose you had a slicing in the in an tanpopo depicting you should have an even slicing which disguises the center, so i think they sliced ??them the periphery as part of a prunus, that could be the reason

what is corilene ( and deviation sharkskin)
Japanese porcelain decoration technique. Over glaze enamels enhanced with a glass bead surface that is melted together.

see Mar 07, 2023 (07:21 AM) asian art forum
assumption it is a form of melting and it probably leads to texture
and i don,t see texture in the underglazing( why is this underglaze blue by the way?)
so i just think it is just moriage

well it probably a lot of bs i told , it is just assumption,
IMO this is a type of taisho give or take ( i must be close i think)

excellent work rhinefine combined depicting sakura- is also making charger inconsisted problably sakura AND !! tanpopo

so i think endconclusion it is not a TANPOPO
