The Shell Shop is probably my favorite spots in Morro Bay. I picked a motel 2 blocks from it so go figure. Anyway I got a bunch of shells there that make it look like I need to go back and improve my collection.
This piece is group of Rose Barnacles from the Sulu Sea. The Sulu Sea is in the Pacific southwest of the Philippines and is surrounded by islands. Anyway they have colorful barnacles. The large ones have an opening about an inch across and on the underside are some much smaller ones. These probably got scraped from the bottom of a ship. Otherwise they live on rocks.
