I found this at an Estate Sale on Thursday September 29, 2022, and really not sure what it's for, a Centerpiece Bowl, or a large Vanity Ring Holder? The Antique Victorian Hand Blown Blue Opalescent 9 1/2" Square with a 3" Ruffle Edge and 4 1/2" Raised Center Bowl with Applied Center Pull Pointed Brass Handle with Cherub, is something I've never seen before, I thought it was some sort of Lamp Base when I first saw it, but too delicate for that. There are no markings just a few bubbles! The Brass handle screws into a brass cap-nut fused to the raised center glass! :^D
It's probably a repurposed Epergne Base, that is missing the Epergne Flutes! Thanks to BHIFOS, for the insight! Bill :^D
Thank You for Looking, all Comments, and any Information about this Glass Bowl is Welcome and Appreciated! Bill :^)
I like it a lot, but have no idea of it's origins. At 9.5 inches square perhaps it was for offering sweeties or nibbles to guests.
Thanks Peggy, maybe, but the Ruffled edge makes it hard to take something out! I really like it though! :^D
It looks like an Epergne base but with a lifting handle instead of the holder for all the flowers.
Nice Mr. BiLL
if you look at my older post you'll see what I mean.
I have also seen Epergne with the squarish base shape.

Yes BHIFOS, it does look the same, I never thought of that, because most Epergnes that I've seen have Glass mounts fused to the base! Thanks, I'll see if I can find some the same as mine, maybe someone just, added the Cherub Handle to get use from a broken Epergne! Bill :^D
Thanks, Vynil, Bill :^D
Thank You all for stopping by for a look, and leaving a love for what You saw, BHIFOS, Vynil, Peggy, Kevin, and dav2no1, it's appreciated! Bill :^)
Thank You Searching1, for clicking the love, very nice! Bill :^)
Here's one on Live Auctioneers in Cranberry Glass that may be what mine looked like complete:

Hey Patricia, and Brian, Thank You both for the love that You gave, Bill :^)
Alright! bb2 was here, and Kevin(kwqd) too, thanks to both of You, for the love that You gave! Bill :^)
Hi Bill..agree with BHIFOS..def! an epergne base, I have a small a epergne that is virtually the same colours as yours, if can you tell how big this is and maybe measure across how wide the area where it would be placed, if it fits you van have it but I have a feeling it may be too small.
Oops!.. I may have jumped the gun here, I had been looking at Bernard’s example and thinking flower epergne, but it actually may have had a second bowl where you can see the metal screwed together
beautiful
