I didn't know what to call this group but they are in their own class. Each vase is heavy, about 10" tall and have a spiral in the midsection that looks more like a coil than a serpent. The vases come in the usual colors except this blue seen here.
Another distinction is the pontil mark that looks more like a "scar" than a ground pontil.
Things to look for:
1. Spiral is grooved (like a LP record)
2. The coil begins with a large dollop of glass
3. Rims are variegated in a few different styles
4. Look for a scar pontil
5. Look for a small dime mark "Made in czechoslovakia"
