Hi this clock was in the bottom of a box lot I got at an auction. Just trying to find some info on this clock. I don't see any maker on the outside but haven't taken the back off. It stands about 8 1/2 tall.

      dav2no1, I think you nailed it. :-)

Fortunately, a quick search for one of the patents yielded this website which suggests that it's probably a Westclox product:

      https://clockhistory.com/0/westclox/detail-series-3-1.html

I don't see a twin back panel there, but the site did yield the patents listed on the Etsy clock:

      https://clockhistory.com/0/patent-23-1.html

      https://clockhistory.com/0/patent-8-1.html

      https://clockhistory.com/0/patent-26-1.html

Here are the Google Patent listings:

      https://patents.google.com/patent/US712325

      https://patents.google.com/patent/US820794

      https://patents.google.com/patent/US906915

So, based on those patents seen on the Etsy clock, about the oldest that it could be is 1908. Not Victorian, if you want to get all anal-retentive about it, but rather Edwardian. };-)

The near twin in this post is probably just a later edition of the clock, and they gave up listing anything on the back, including the little lever used to adjust the clock time from [S]low to [F]ast.

hostacollector, You still might want to remove the back panel to examine the guts if only because somebody's already been tinkering with it. The face isn't oriented with "12" at the top.
