Picked this up at the Ontario Route 66 car show. There is truck like a food truck but it has about infinite of the high quality die cars and not just a bunch of the current Hot Wheels and Matchbox. This one is one of the current Johnny Lightning models and is actual 1/64.
This is of course the classic Chevy El Camino. It outsold its rival the Ford Ranchero by 2 to 1, the posi-traction probably helped. This model has the 327 small block. A very successful engine used in hot rods of various sorts. It is a car made into a truck. I belive it started as a Chevelle. Seems odd now but sold well then. I believe a lot were considered muscle cars. This model is a two-seater.
As usual this has great detail such as then 327 on the front of the fenders. Plus it has redline tires like the original Hot Wheels and the actual cars of the time.
Got an extra exciting Greenlight model to post next week. You will not want to miss that.
