Several months ago Dav2no1 posted his big glass pig which has prompted me to finally post mine.

My 2 are slightly different from each other in their color, “rear-end” glass thickness and snout rim contour.
They both have the same cute face with long eyelashes and dimples in their cheeks, short legs, curly tails and “this little pig went to market” in raised letters encircling the profile of a pig on their butts.

The one containing coins has it’s original cork nose. The other one has a replacement cork nose.

There’s about an inch difference in their length (19-20”), width is about 10.5” and circumference is 32.5” at widest part.

I don’t find a maker identified on them anywhere. (dav2no1’s was made by Libby)

These came from my parents’ convenience store where they sat on the counter holding penny bubblegum sometime around the 1980s.

Thanks for taking a look. Comments welcome!

What's in the other? Gigantic gumballs?

Lol! When a toddler has a ball pit with 200+ balls, they can be found everywhere, even in a pig’s belly. ;^)

Thanks for the funny comments, Dav2no1. I thought you might like to see some more oversized pigs. That’s my life savings in one of them. ;^)

Its the kind of pig you don't have to worry about with all the wild pigs causing so much damage. Gorgeos pair and having them from the convenience store is just the icing on these beauties !~

Phil, I’m in total agreement about the wild ones. I don’t understand why they are not hunted and butchered for food.

Knowing the history of these 2 pigs do make me feel like they are more special. The one with coins inside is my son’s now; the one with balls inside is slated to go to my grandson soon. I did write up a paper with a tidbit of the convince store history that I thought he would enjoy knowing and I put that inside the pig for him. ;^D
