I picked up this doorstop recently. I asked our friend and CW expert Scott to take a look. He told me that The Modern Foundry, also known as Robert Emig, was founded in Pennsylvania in 1948. I did mot know the foundry name until further research, so thank you Scott for that information.
ROBERT EMIG
"Robert Emig Products of Reading, Pennsylvania was a distributor of decorative metalware. Contracts were signed with independent foundries to create the castings; Emig then finished and distributed the individual products."
