This is something special! It was a great deal too...
Made from cased glass, the exterior is an intense pink spatter (tending to a more purplish - pink in real life) with a smooth satin finish. Interior is a lighter pink.
The vase measures 24.5 cm tall, 4.7 cm across slightly flared out top rim, & 6.8 cm across the base, which does not have a pontil mark.
The shape is a genie bottle meets gourd form, & the enamel decoration is...something else!
It is so finely delineated, with delicate, swirling arabesques of stylised flowers. Possibly the best enamel work I've ever seen in person. The vase is in perfect condition, even the gilding on the top rim & around the base is pristine.
I think this is possibly Bohemian, & by a high end maker. Pure class, & I feel honoured to welcome it to my collection!
After a little research, I think this is perhaps an example of Harrach Marmor...
Beautiful piece Marin, must have been someone's pride and joy and kept in the china cabinet all its life.
Many thanks, Bernard!
Enamel work on this is just beautiful.
Much appreciated, Wow22!
indeed amazing the perfection of the enamel.... and also the glass is interesting, I also think could be Harrach
