Does anyone have background on this piece they can share? My mom was a collector of all kinds of things and I found it in her stuff. Much appreciated.

Appears you have a "food dome" or "food cover". You can search R.Wallace and one of those two and find some of these. These would be used at hotels or fancy dinners. More research needed because yours is marked "R.Wallace" vs "R.Wallace & sons"

Yours is marked. "The Shelborne" which is a Miami hotel founded in 1824. More research needed, but you may have an early piece..

I forgot to say...Welcome to CW. If you look at the wiki link, it says several museums have pieces in their collections. I would suggest reaching out to their research staff and ask about the backstamp. I've found they are happy to look at stuff and often have access to information they'll us normal people do not.
