This stamp alone caused me to be a collector of Full Sheets of rarity scenes. I got this stamp this year and probably one of my favorites of all time. I think it was 1972 or so when I was nearly an adult and nothing could stop me from collecting Canadian stamps and so now I am starting my stamp collecting with a full sheet. It really fits nicely in a full page Scotts album for full pages. But now - should not start a sentence with a but - and yet here it fits, but now it fits in my deluxe oversize stamp album for oversize stamps with more than 13 inches in length to hold oversize stamps !~
I plan to post some of my stamp collecting in particular first issue. Even when I started to collect stamps I preferred to collect in particular full sheets and also plate block stamps of # 1 issue for stamps. A full plate block set means a set which contains the full 4 corners in a combo of 4 stamps on each corner. They came later on after the first stamp of Canada. I am starting my collection here with showing what a full sheet and full corner block set looks like ! Usually if I get a 4 corner block set or a full sheet I get more than 2 of each my fave stamps, so I collect between 1 or 2 or even more of each of my faves!~
As of mid January of 2023 I plan to have 3 full sheets, it is revered by myself that much. Photo #4 is my 3rd full sheet, it is Canada Banknote Co. Ltd, Bank note Plate #1. The 4th photo has had the colour restored to what it looks like viewing the sheets. Also lastly, if you look you will see each of the one plate block on each of the 3 sheets shows the bank note and companies plate block, each on a different corner. To have a full plate block set would take one corner from 4 different sheets and some people do not collect full sheets of stamps and may only collect plate block sets !~

These are beautiful stamps Phil!! And, in such pristine mint condition. I gained a great appreciation for the beautiful artwork on stamps many years ago, but never took up collecting stamps myself. I once knew an elderly gentleman that had collected stamps since he was a young boy. He had a pristine collection. I've always wondered where his collection ended up as he had no family to speak of.
As of yesterday Dec 02, 2o22 I now have 2 of these sheets. I usually want 2-3 of my favourite rare stamps, so a seller listed this on his site and I bought it over on ebay !~
