I'm really not sure what the date is on this penny..
I believe it could be a 2007. I have not been able to figure out the mint mark yet. It seems to me it has been double struck..or maybe a double die.
I'm still a beginner at coin collecting and have much to learn on coin errors. I'm hoping someone can school me on why this coin is such a mess.
That is a mess. Looks like it came in contact with some type of chemical.

it looks like a 2007 s with some sort of chemical etch to the surface, but I am not sure! Thanks for Posting, Bill :^)
