I believe oil on canvas. These were my grandparents from perhaps the 1950’s/60’s? Artist Garna, but I am unable to find any information at all, even though the label on the back states his work was awarded high degrees in various art exhibits. Any help appreciated, thanks!

Thank you! I’m guessing not much value to them? Well, sentimental value to me.

Hello! I also have a painting from the mysterious 'Garna' and was wondering if your grandparents bought this at JL Hudson's in Detroit like mine did -- around 1972? It's so strange that there is nothing about this artist online anywhere. I wonder if that is really their name? Maybe someone misinterpreted it somewhere down the line? Because looking at the front signature I really can't tell what it says.
