A cheesy blow mold I know but I still like it. It is scaled to fit 1/6 scale action figures but it is more like 1/8 scale. It was made by Sunny Smiles Toys which one source says is Cherilea. Cherilea made many blow mold vehicles for GI Joe and Action Man as did Irwin. Estimate on date for this range from 1970s to 1990s.
This seems to be based on the M551 Sheridan Light Tank. But the gun is longer like a 76mm. There is a mount for a machine gun but I can replace that.
The GI Joe is a 1964 Patent Pending Joe and he is new too. I will post him again when he is fully outfitted.
The M551 Sheridan was an “Armored Reconaissance/Airborne Assault Vehicle”—which was definitely a tank, regardless of the nomenclature.
