A beauty, very decorative plate !~
x insert palenquin - goshoguruma-kikumon --karakusa -kirimon- fukagawa deviations -hanawa
well a lot of technical and etymological discussion , but we gonna stick to our own opinion because natalie alfers and me we always never disagree for catawiki possible arbitration
so i stick to late mejji - Taihodo mark(although it is strange embossing without countersigning and a taisho appearance)
nice charger i love it although not an expensive plate
the depict looks rather simple rickshaw , but for me it is awfull difficult , because carts got a lot of purposes
the problem is the depict don,t show possible crossbarring at the end of the poles
(for the use of oxes )
i think it is palanquin goshoguruma = pushcart or carriage for the japanese nobility ( even) up to the emperor
there is a shut out in design by means of Rusu Moyo, which means the none attendence of personel beings
later it become just common so the spread is wide
so i used the pictures of the genji monogatari and it made some sense
the desig on top of the cart and sideways is IMO Kikimon + karakusa ( not kirimon = scrolling of the scrolling leaves in combination with the flower (maybe also prunus blossom
you can also define by means of SUDARE ( blinds)- design_,i don,t known maybe fu design)
Wow, thank you so much for the detailed information! I didn't think it was too fancy, so I am not surprised if it is not a expensive example, I did notice that when comparing it to some with very similar decorations and hand painted accents that mine seems more finely embellished, with the gold actually applied to edges of the design, unlike others I saw that were off-set on the design, and looked hastily and indifferently applied.
