Bought this framed piece of advertising for holeproof hosiery. To my surprise there was a watercolor picture behind it. The watercolor is by R H Odgers. The problem is that the advertising is stuck to the art. Is this a hopeless situation? Please help!

Might be able to use some low heat to unstuck it? Is the paper really brittle? If so, you gotta be careful. I'm thinking it's probably not glued and only stuck from pressure and time?

The ad is brittle. Low heat as in hair dryer?

Yes or heat gun on low. I'd try a corner first. That's the safest first attempt. If you use water, use distilled water..maybe try a q tip on a corner. Gotta be careful not to soak and stain the ad..use a blank corner. Since you said the paper is brittle, there's a possibility it may pop off? Good luck, be careful and take your time.
