dav2no1, My initial reaction to reading that 7Up used to contain lithium: >8-0

Then I remembered that Coca-Cola used to contain cocaine. };-)

      Hi, DW1. :-)

When you say, "this style," I'm not entirely sure what you mean.

It is that it's a can from the era in which beverage cans had to be opened by punching holes in the top?

Here are some links about the evolution, anatomy, and history of beverage cans:

      https://soda.sou.edu/cans/ANTH02m_schr.xx.01.pdf

      https://pulltabarchaeology.com/can-terminology/

One of Howdy Cola's cans (a pull-top steel one) is in the Can Museum:

      https://www.canmuseum.com/Detail.aspx?CanID=87072

I see that you provided a close-up of a code stamped into one end of the can, but I can't make out the characters.

One interesting anomaly on your can didn't provide any Internet hits.

That would be the "FLORIDA FOODS PRODUCTS OF CINCINNATI, INC."

There certainly is a business entity named Florida Food Products that dates back to 1954 with this interesting bullet about the 1960s:

      *snip*

1960s Expanding on our foundation in orange juice production, we pioneered the process of carbonated beverage canning.
