The motif of the handles in the form of elephant heads appeared previously in art history. For example on porcelain vases from the Edo period in Japan around 1600. Around 1900 until the 1920s this motif was also used by some ceramic workshops. I know of a floor vase made by Villeroy & Boch in Dresden from that time. I am only aware of a few such pieces from the Lötz company, including one in imperial red with black handles and a wide pattern band painted in black enamel. In the repertoire of the Lötz company, the elephant was always a design element, such as PN III 3677, PN III 3545/I, PN III 1533 and PN I 4821.
So far, this vase shown has not appeared a second time. Vases with elephant handles were made in tango colors in 1923, see PN III 1533.

Design around 1923, PN unknown, gold topaz papillon, gold topaz-colored glass, clear overlaid, rolled silver-yellow crumbs, blown into the mold and raised. Two attached candia glass handles in the shape of elephant heads. An added foot with a nodus in candia glass, iridescent. Sticker with ram and the inscription "Lötz". H. 37.6 cm

The photo of the red vase on the collage was kindly provided to me by a much-esteemed fellow collector.

Meant to say I actually am lucky enough to have one like the one in your collage, but without the wide decorative band..
